Tour Guide Intern

Role

This internship is best suited for individuals interested in pursuing work within the fields of history, tourism, and/or African American Studies. Ideal candidates will have a major/background in one of the aforementioned fields; an invested interest in supporting the city’s local historical and cultural African American sites and businesses; good writing, communication, organization, and time management skills; ability to work individually and as part of a team; attention to detail; proficiency in Google Drive programs, and both daytime weekday and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

  • Site coordination

  • Ticket sales

  • Facilitating tours. Interns will undergo training during this process.

​

This is an unpaid internship however there is an option for course credit.
